This season NO99 will launch a new project NO99 Cinema with the series of the best-tasting selected films that are usually not shown screened for the wide public. And the NO99 nights are so much more: the light, the excellent set-up, the music\u00a0and\u00a0the whole atmosphere together. Tiina Savi, the responsible for selecting films is the person who has been working on the program of the famous S\u00f5prus Cinema. Jacques Demy\u2019s films inhabit worlds in themselves\u2014personal and imaginary worlds, self-contained and organic. Demy\u2019s legacy may lack consistent quality, but not consistent personal vision: while his contemporaries abandoned poetry for politics, Demy remained faithful to the romanticism of his boyhood projects. The Young Girls of Rochefort\u00a0is a 1967 musical film, starring Catherine Deneuve\u00a0and\u00a0her sister<\/p>\n<p>The Young Girls of Rochefort takes place over the course of one weekend in the seaside town of Rochefort, where a fair is coming to the town square. The story centers on twin sisters Delphine (Deneuve) and Solange (Dorl\u00e9ac) \u2014 Delphine teaches ballet classes and Solange gives music lessons for a living, but each longs to find her ideal love and a life outside of Rochefort.
