Don’t miss the Estonian National Symphonic Orchestra<\/a><\/span> – ENSO’s first concert of the\u00a0CITY LIGHT\u00a0Series: “Paris-La Belle Epoque”<\/strong><\/span> <\/span>!<\/p>\n

It will take place in Tallinn, 12\u00a0February at 19:00,<\/strong> at the Estonia Concert Hall (Estonia pst\u00a04).<\/p>\n

The 40-year period between the end of the Franco-German war (1871) and the beginning of the First World War (1914)\u00a0went down in history as\u00a0“La Belle Epoque”.\u00a0The decades surrounding the turn of the century saw\u00a0arts developing with unprecedented intensity.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The ENSO chamber ensemble <\/strong>will perform\u00a0pieces by some of\u00a0this era’s\u00a0most famous composers:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Francis Poulenc<\/strong> (1899\u20131963). Sextet for Piano and Wind Quintet (1939)
Vincent d`Indy<\/strong> (1851\u20131931). Sarabande and Menuet for Piano and Wind Quintet, Op. 72 (1886\/1918)
Albert Roussel<\/strong> (1869\u20131937). Divertimento for Piano and Wind Quintet, Op. 6 (1906)
Jean Fran\u00e7aix<\/strong> (1912\u20131977). L\u00b4heure de berger<\/em> (The Shepherd\u2019s Hour<\/em>) for Piano and Wind Quintet (1947)
Igor Stravinsky<\/strong> (1882\u20131971). Excerpts from L\u2019histoire du soldat<\/em> (The Soldier\u2019s Tale<\/em>; 1917)<\/p>\n
