As part of the Festival of\u00a0Francophonie\u00a0<\/strong> (10-22 March), we have the pleasure to announce the French book author and illustrator Olivier Tallec\u2019s<\/strong> visit to Estonia. Children and their parents will have the opportunity to meet him and discover his works during several Book Signings and discussions that will take place between 9 March and 11 March.<\/p>\n

Olivier Tallec was born in France in 1970, in the city of Morlaix (North Brittany). He became a passionate illustrator after graduating from the Duperr\u00e9 High School of Applied Arts. He gained fame as a press illustrator through his work with Le Monde, Lib\u00e9ration, T\u00e9l\u00e9rama <\/em>and Elle<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He is also renowned for his Youth publications<\/strong>.\u00a0Indeed he has illustrated many novels and short stories for children and has worked with prestigious editors like Gallimard and Flammarion. He has now moved on to writing his own stories as long as illustrating them.<\/p>\n

Among his most famous works are Rita and Machin<\/em> series (Editor Gallimard), the WhoWhatWho<\/em> series (Ed. Actes Sud) and Big Wolf, Small Wolf<\/em> (Ed. Flammarion\/P\u00e8re Castor).\u00a0Big Wolf, Small Wolf <\/em>series will soon be published in Estonian (by Draakon & Kuu, translated by Indrek Koff).<\/strong><\/p>\n

His drawings have become so popular that the brand Jacadi asked him to design prints for children\u2019s clothes.<\/p>\n

Many of his books are now published in foreign languages worldwide.<\/p>\n

Save the date! Olivier Tallec will meet the public in Tallinn, 9 March\u00a02016, at the\u00a0Estonian’s children’s literature centr<\/a>e (Pikk 73)<\/span>.<\/strong>\u00a0 He will talk in English, interviewed by\u00a0Indrek Koff. A booksigning session will take place\u00a0after the talk\u00a0and some of Olivier Tallec’s books will be for sale at the venue.<\/p>\n
