{"id":8410,"date":"2016-03-09T10:56:14","date_gmt":"2016-03-09T08:56:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ife.ee\/?p=8410"},"modified":"2016-03-21T15:36:58","modified_gmt":"2016-03-21T13:36:58","slug":"baroque-music","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.ife.ee\/en\/baroque-music\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring and Baroque music in Tallinn, 21 March!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\">The <strong>European Day of Early Music<\/strong> is held every year on 21st March, a day celebrating the beginning of spring, and one of Early Music&#8217;s most important composers Johann Sebastian Bach (born on 21st March 1685).\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">This event is\u00a0placed under the support and patronage of\u00a0the French Ministry for Culture and Communication, the UNESCO and the European Union.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The project was initiatied by\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008ac9;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #008ac9;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rema-eemn.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">REMA<\/a><\/strong><\/span> (European Early Music Network) in 2013.\u00a0The <span style=\"color: #008ac9;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #008ac9;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rema-eemn.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">European Day of Early Music<\/a><\/strong><\/span> is a celebration of more than a millennium of music, a major part of the European\u00a0cultural heritage. Concerts, events, and happenings will be\u00a0taking place simultaneously across Europe.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">In Tallinn,\u00a0<strong>the Ensemble Floridante will give a concert, 21 March 2016, 5pm,<\/strong> at the\u00a0Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Chamber Hall.\u00a0They will\u00a0play Jean-Philippe Rameau and Fran\u00e7ois Couperin, two renowned French Baroque composers.
