The Representation of the European Commission in Estonia, the French Institute in Estonia, and the Estonian Institute of\u00a0Human Rights have the great pleasure to invite you to\u00a0the\u00a06th edition of the Debate<\/strong> Series “Dividing Lines and Perspectives in Europe”.<\/p>\n

29 March 2016, Yvon Gastaut<\/strong>, a Contemporary History specialist, will discuss “Immigration in France and Estonia in the 20th century- two countries, two stories”, with the historian Mart Nutt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Mariliis Mets<\/strong>, Foreign affairs specialist to the Ministry of Defense, will moderate the debate.<\/p>\n

Yvan Gastaut<\/strong> teaches History at the Sophia Antipolis University of Nice. He\u00a0is a specialist\u00a0in History of\u00a0Immigration, integration and racism in France. He has also\u00a0done numerous research about the History of sport, and football in particular, through its ethnical and identity-related aspects. Besides, M. Gastaut is an active\u00a0member of various committees in charge of immigration\u00a0issues\u00a0and regularly takes part in public debates about these subjects.<\/p>\n

Mart Nutt\u00a0<\/strong>is a specialist\u00a0in the History of Public Relations. He is the holder of a Phd in Public Relations and is a renowned specialist in Estonia about these subjects.\u00a0He has been a\u00a0Member of the Parliament since 1992 and is\u00a0a member of the Constitution Committee. He was also a long-time member of the European Affairs Committee and a\u00a0Special Advisor to the Integration and Migration Foundation in Estonia. He has\u00a0published numerous papers about news subjects and actively takes part in public debates.<\/span><\/p>\n
