Ses compositions sont reprises et jou\u00e9es dans une multitude d\u2019orchestres, il est r\u00e9cipiendaire de nombreux prix et distinctions officielles, et a m\u00eame travaill\u00e9 pour le cin\u00e9ma \u2013 pr\u00e8s de 40 bandes originales ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crites par P\u00e4rt.<\/p>\n<p>Sa musique est \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sente dans <strong><em>Les amants du Pont-Neuf<\/em> de Leos Carax<\/strong>, film sorti en 1991. Sur le Pont-Neuf, \u00e0 Paris, traversant la Seine, deux adultes se rencontrent. Ce sont Alex et Mich\u00e8le. Mich\u00e8le perd la vue et Alex d\u00e9couvre l\u2019amour. Ensemble, ils vivent, rient, boivent, dansent au rythme des orchestres parisiens et sous les lumi\u00e8res des comm\u00e9morations du bicentenaire de la R\u00e9volution fran\u00e7aise.<\/p>\n<p>Culte et romantique, le film re\u00e7oit de nombreux prix, notamment en raison des performances des deux acteurs, encens\u00e9es. <strong>Juliette Binoche<\/strong> est d\u2019ailleurs nomm\u00e9e aux C\u00e9sars pour le r\u00f4le de Mich\u00e8le et c\u2019est <strong>Denis Lavant<\/strong> qui interpr\u00e8te son amant, Alex. Consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme le plus grand des films de Carax, <em>Les Amants du Pont-Neuf<\/em> se sert \u00e9galement de musiques de Iggy Pop ou David Bowie. Mais ce serait sans nul doute celle de<strong> P\u00e4rt, \u00ab&nbsp;Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten&nbsp;\u00bb<\/strong>, qui reste en t\u00eate des spectateurs et magnifie le film. C\u2019est d\u2019ailleurs le premier film \u00e0 grand budget qui utilise sa musique, permettant ainsi \u00e0 P\u00e4rt d\u2019\u00eatre connu d\u2019un plus grand public.<\/p>\n<p>Le film est donc projet\u00e9 au centre Arvo P\u00e4rt, en fran\u00e7ais et sous-titr\u00e9 en estonien, le vendredi 13 ao\u00fbt, \u00e0 19h00.
