HeadRead, Tallinn’s famous literature festival, will take place from May 25 to 29. French-speaking production will be represented by the Swiss author Jacques Tornay.
Jacques Tornay wrote about twenty books since the publishing of his first first one, André Chédel, un homme, une oeuvre (1978) : novels, short stories, but especially volumes of poetry for which he has been awarded on several occasions. He has also been a translator from German and English to his native language, French, but today he’s more devoted to creating his own texts.
You’ll have the opportunity to meet him along with other internationals poets on May 26 at 7:00 pm, at the Estonian Writers’ Union (Harju 1) and on May 27 at 6:00 pm for a poetic marathon at Must Puudel (Müürivahe 20).
HeadRead festival takes place every year in Tallinn, at the end of spring. Meetings, public readings, as well as animated walks will be offered with a common aim : making contemporary literature lively.
