In Vanille (2020), a little girl with a tenacious character arrives in Guadeloupe for vacation, the island where her mother comes from. Although she is initially furious that her father sent her to stay with her aunt, Vanille will gradually discover the Guadeloupean Creole culture and experience exciting adventures, enabling her to better accept herself as she is. This film adresses several themes such as being mixed-raced, the French overseas territories, and dealing with beauty standards.

The screening will take place on Wednesday the 28th of January at 4:30 p.m., at the French Institute of Estonia (Kuninga 4, Tallinn). For children aged 6 and up. If they wish, parents are welcomed to attend the screening with their children.
