Scholarships allocated by the French Government correspond to a monthly allowance of €860 paid directly to the scholarship holder. This amount is intended to cover accommodation and living expenses on site.
These scholarships are granted for the duration of two academic years if the student is starting a first year of master, and one academic year if the student is starting a second year of master (as indicated in the enrollment certificate).
Apart from the monthly allowance of €860, being a scholarship holder of the French Government gives you access to many advantages:
- Enrolment in a private health insurance reimbursed up to €264. Enrolment in the general social security system is free of charge. Both registrations are compulsory and guarantee effective social protection;
- Exemption from the CVEC (student life and campus contribution), which is worth €91.
Requirements to apply
- Be legally resident in Estonia. French citizens (including binationals) are not eligible.
- Hold a recognised higher education diploma enabling you to enroll in at a French higher education institution.
- Have an adequate level of French (diplôme d’études en langue française, DELF), except in the case of training provided in English.
- Be enrolled or in the process of being enrolled in a French institution eligible for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The call is open to students of all disciplines.
The grant cannot be cumulated with a scholarship awarded by another French Ministry or an Erasmus + scholarship.
Documents required for the application file
Each candidate must compile an application file, in French or English (depending on the language of the training chosen), containing the following documents:
- a curriculum vitae;
- a letter of motivation;
- a copy of the highest university degree;
- a certificate of the training course currently followed;
- an attestation of pre-registration from the French higher education establishment, which can be provided after the application has been submitted.
Calendar of the call
- Receipt of the applications until May 16th 2025 midnight (EET) at the following email address: gabriel.voisin-moncho@ife.ee
- A pre-selection of the best applications will be made after reception of all the applications.
- Individual interviews with the pre-selected candidates will start taking place on May 26th 2025.
The application will only be definitively validated upon receipt of the certificate of registration or pre-registration in the French higher education institution.
