Clément Beaune, the Minister for European Union Affairs of France, will present the vision of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2022 at a public seminar. The seminar takes place at Tallinn University on 4 September at 12.
Märt Volmer, Estonia’s Undersecretary for European Affairs, will join Minister Clément Beaune in the discussion on the presidency. The whole discussion of the seminar will be held in English.
A limited number of Tallinn University employees and students can physically participate in the event. All interested can register here. There is a field in the form for questions as well. Biography
Clément Beaune is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) and of the Bruges College of Europe (“Montesquieu” year). He is an alumnus of the French National School of Public Administration (ENA) (“Willy Brandt” year).
After leaving ENA in 2009, Clément Beaune joined the Budget Directorate, as Deputy Head of the Finance Acts Bureau.
In 2011, he became Deputy Head of the Research and Higher Education Bureau.
From 2013 to 2014, Clément Beaune was a technical adviser (budget) to the Prime Minister.
From 2014 to 2016, he was European, International and Budgetary Affairs Adviser to the Minister of the Economy, Industry and the Digital Sector.
From 2016 to 2017, he was Deputy CEO of ADP Management.
From 2017 to 2020, Clément Beaune was a Special Adviser within the Diplomatic Unit of the Presidency of the Republic.
On July 26, 2020, he was appointed Secretary of State for European Affairs to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in the Jean Castex government.
