In April, our cine-club focuses on culinary delights, and for the second part of our monthly diptych, we explore the theme of intoxication with A Monkey in Winter (Un Singe en Hiver) by Henri Verneuil, screened in the original French version with English subtitles.
Synopsis:
In a deserted seaside town, a quiet café owner and a whimsical salesman form an unlikely friendship, fuelled by alcohol and dreams of escape. A Monkey in Winter tenderly explores nostalgia, male friendship, and the intoxication of memories.
The screening will take place on April 24 at 6:30 PM, at Kuninga 4, Tallinn 10146.
The film will be followed by an open discussion — a great opportunity to practice your French in a friendly setting!
Exceptionally, a glass of wine will be offered to the audience, along with a short introduction to wine tasting in French, led by a member of our team.
