In June, the Ciné-Club continues to celebrate Pride Month! This week, we’re not showing just one, but three films, with a special short film screening!
L’Attente by Alice Douard (2022) – 29 min
Céline waits at the maternity ward for the arrival of her first child. It’s Jeanne, her partner, who is going to give birth. During the night, in the hospital lobby, Céline meets men who, like her, are waiting.
Gigi by Cynthia Calvi (2023) – 14 min
From tormented little mermaid to the blossoming woman she is today, GiGi recounts her journey of transition with humor and sensitivity.
Paloma by Hugo Bardin (2021) – 28 min
Having just stolen the urn containing the ashes of her deceased lover, Paloma, a flamboyant drag queen, meets Mike, a quiet and melancholic truck driver. They share a road trip to Paris — one day and one night to break their loneliness.
The screening will take place on Tuesday, June 17 at 6:30 PM, at the French Institute (Kuninga 4, 10146 Tallinn). All films are in French with English subtitles.
The post-screening discussion will be held in English and co-hosted by our special guest Eeva Koplimets, from the Eesti LGBT Ühing association!
