#naistEST: free documentary screening and debate on the perception of beauty

On Thursday April 27, 6pm at the Museum of Occupations, the French Institute of Estonia will close the #naistEST project with a free screening of the French documentary “Ronde-bosse” (round bump), which will be followed by a debate on the perception of beauty and norms of femininity with Anne Chounet-Cambas (French Institute) and Nele Laos (Femnisteerium).

Synopsis: 20 years ago, Laurence Michel shaved her head. The movie gets back to the reactions of unease it unleashed, and raises questions about the concept of femininity and the need for women to follow social norms.

The movie will be in French with English subtitles. The debate will be in English.
