Special screenings of Michael Haneke’s French-Austrian movies at Soprus

Ahead of the premier of Hneke’s new movie “Happy End” on February 8th, Kino Sõprus is programming 2 special screenings of some of his masterpieces: The Piano Teacher on February 5th and Amour on February 6th.

February 5th, 8:30pm : The Piano Teacher (2001)

Synopsis: A young man romantically pursues his masochistic piano teacher.

Starring : Isabelle Huppert, Benoît Magimel, Annie Girardot

Grand Prix of Cannes in 2001, Best Actress and Best Actor for the two leads.

February 6th, 8:30pm : Amour (2012)

Synopsis : Georges and Anne are an octogenarian couple. They are cultivated, retired music teachers. Their daughter, also a musician, lives in Britain with her family. One day, Anne has a stroke, and the couple’s bond of love is severely tested.
