The opening ceremony took place last Friday, 11 November at the Nordea concert hall. The ceremony was conducted by the estonian actor Henrik Kalmet whose jokes had known a real success. And the students of the Estonian Academy Of Music and Theater demonstrated a magical danse performance devoted to the history of French cinema.
The opening ceremony has also become an occassion to award a famous estonian actress, Ita Ever with « Lifetime achievement award » for her high impact on the estonian cinema. The speeches were held by the Parlament Speaker Eiki Nestor, Ambassador of France Claudia Delmas-Scherer and the director of PÖFF – Tiina Lokk.
The party went on with a massive reception organised by the French Institute at the Theater NO99.
